“Despite the adverse trading conditions, our business has seen double-digit growth over the past two years and we’re currently on target to maintain this through 2011,” says managing director Mark Hutchinson. “This success is down to the excellence of the WHS Halo product range and our own commitment to best-in-class customer service.”
Tradesmith started life from day one with WHS Halo, fabricating 40 windows in its first week, but grew quickly to become the South East’s premier trade fabricator with more than 30 staff.
“The business sprang from an engineering background, so it was plain to us that they had a strong product and they have continued to demonstrate their own determination to be at the cutting edge of our industry in terms of technology and service,” says Mark.
Tradesmith’s own commitment to customer service and quality has brought it a series of awards and accreditations – its training and personnel excellence was recognised with the Investors in People award while the rigorous quality management of its fabrication processes has gained ISO9001:2008 accreditation.
The enhanced security offered by Tradesmith’s doors and windows gained BS 7412 and BS 7950 accreditation and inclusion in Secured by Design, the crime prevention initiative developed in the UK by ACPO CPI (Association Chief Police Officers, Crime Prevention Initiatives).
The company is also registered both as a WER licensed manufacturer, currently offering 14 WER accredited products, and as a member of the Energy Saving Trust as part of its commitment to sustainable development.
A trade-only company, Tradesmith has a comprehensive portfolio of products, including the new Bowater “Duo” twin rebated composite door, conservatories, vertical sliders and bi-folding doors, which meets all installers’ needs.
